Atlanta has provided Tommy Hanson with generous offensive support recently, and the Atlanta Braves will look to continue their winning ways when Miami visits Turner Field for a four-game series. Atlanta has scored six or more runs in six of Hanson’s past seven starts. The Marlins have won two in a row, but placed outfielder Logan Morrison to the disabled list with a right knee injury Sunday and continue to play without slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
Miami Marlins had lost eight of nine before taking the final two from San Diego this weekend at home. The Braves ride a five-game winning streak into the series opener and are 13 games above .500, trailing first-place Washington by four games in the NL East. Atlanta has beaten Miami six of eight times this season, outscoring the Marlins 44-17.
